‘Fish’

A famous marine biologist has said that he has found many great discoveries over the years, but the greatest discovery of all is that fish do not actually exist. The word ‘Fish’ is used as an umbrella term for all swimming species in the ocean, mainly smaller species, but actually no ‘Fish’ in the ocean have any genetic link what so ever to one another, there for making it impossible to group them together. Look at it this way, an eagle and a bee can fly, but they both have no genetic link what so ever, bee’s, wasps and other flying insects are not classed as ‘Birds’, because there is no genetic link, the only thing they have in common is they can both fly. Well, this is the same with ‘Fish’, every single specie of ‘Fish’ swim in the ocean etc, but they are not genetically related in any way. There for, the term Fish actually means nothing at all, its only a word we use to cover all species in the sea, but the group itself does not exist.
